Thea Lobo, mezzo-soprano, is rapidly being recognized as a highly musical and flexible soloist and ensemble singer. At New England Conservatory, where she received her Bachelor of Music in 2005, she performed solos with the Chamber Singers, Concert Choir, Bach Ensemble, and was the only undergraduate chosen to present a solo song set for the 2005 Ives Festival. Her operatic performances include Amastris in Handel’s Xerxes, Gwen in Copland’s The Second Hurricane, and The China Cup in l’Enfant et les Sortileges, as well as scenes as Cenerentola, Dorabella, Orfeo, and Cherubino. Ms. Lobo has worked with such composers as Felicia Sandler and Ruth Loman, and has recorded original soundtracks by Marcus Staniec for Empty House Films. At the 2005 Boston Early Music Festival, Ms. Lobo performed the modern-day premiere of Mattheson’s Magnificat for double chorus, one to a part, under Stephen Stubbs. She has also appeared in Sarasota's La Musica Festival and the SoHIP concert series. Thea Lobo has performed in recital series for Trinity Church, Boston Secession, the Berkshire Choral Festival, King’s Chapel, and the Newton Continuing Education Center. She currently sings professionally with Trinity Church in Copley Square, Boston Secession, and Exsultemus, and studies with Mark St. Laurent and Penelope Bitzas.

Daniel Acsadi
Acclaimed as “a superb young guitarist” and “an extraordinary musician” by the guitar virtuoso Eliot Fisk, Hungarian-American guitarist Daniel Acsadi is quickly becoming known for his musical artistry, intelligence, and maturity. He displayed uncommon versatility in a Jordan Hall performance of Michael Tippett’s King Priam, collaborating with the New England Conservatory Wind Ensemble and Opera Department. Furthermore, he appeared in front of a full house at Pittsburgh’s Heinz Hall with an honors children’s chorus led by Janet Galvan. Daniel Acsadi is enthusiastically committed to expanding the guitar’s repertoire as exhibited by his arrangements of Hungarian music, sonatas by Mozart and Haydn, and songs by Schubert, Brahms, Bellini, and Falla. As a contemporary music advocate, he frequently performs the works of Beaser, Seiber and Sierra. Daniel Acsadi often collaborates with mezzo-soprano Thea Lobo, their programs often spanning 500 years of varied musical genres. Daniel Acsadi received his Master of Music degree from the New England Conservatory of Music, under the tutelage of Eliot Fisk, and his Bachelor of Arts degree from Cornell University, as a student of Pablo Cohen. He is currently on the faculty of At Your Door Music in Wellesley, MA
